Dr. Helen Ostrowski

Dr. Helen Ostrowski is a pen-name education writer covering AI credentialing programs, micro-degree initiatives, and the institutional response to applied AI. She has spent more than a decade reporting on the credential-versus-shipping debate in technical education. She does not currently hold a formal appointment with any university or credentialing body, and she has structured her work that way on purpose so that her coverage of any individual program is not constrained by a current institutional relationship.

For Edge Curriculum she leads our long-form reference work, including the standing reference pages on Harvard's and Google's AI micro-credential programs. She also edits our occasional reported essays.

Calvin Mensah

Calvin Mensah is a working practitioner who writes about the gap between AI credentials and the work those credentials are intended to qualify someone to do. He has been an applied machine-learning engineer and a hiring manager at small product teams, and he writes Edge Curriculum's profile pieces on self-taught founders and the recipients of stacked micro-credentials.

His coverage emphasizes shipping evidence — what someone actually built, in what conditions, with what results — alongside the formal credential.

The Editorial Team byline is used for landscape pieces, glossary entries, and reference indexes that draw on more than one writer's work. Substantive opinion pieces are not run under the Editorial Team byline; they go to a named contributor.
